Our development team:
Chris Block, Partner, Chandler Architecture and Design - Website
Chris has really brought our vision of resort style living for Squamish, and particularly Garibaldi Springs, to life by his design for GALLERIES. We wanted stylish and very contemporary living options – private patios, lofted penthouses, “Yaletown” style interiors, flexible floor plans with room to study, work and entertain – mixed with village style, sophisticated business spaces catering to the creative arts – artists in residence, galleries, home and personal fashion and small entrepreneurs. Chris designed GALLERIES around that vision. Chris earned his Masters in Architecture at Dalhousie University in Halifax before settling in Vancouver, and has earned a total of 15 Silver Georgie Awards in BC.
Gerry Halstrom, Associate, Sea to Sky Premier Properties
We met Gerry three years ago, and hit it off immediately. We share the same set of values when it comes to real estate development - and most important of all, the same vision of the future of the Squamish district. Having lived in Squamish for several years Gerry knows every part of the district and its prime locations. Gerry has been an integral part of the GALLERIES design team, and many of its special features are due to his input.
Pat Campbell, Principal, DMG Landscape Architects - Website
DMG Landscape Architects was founded in 1982 and Pat has been with the firm since 1984 .
DMG has been awarded numerous Georgie and Tommie awards by the Canadian Home Builders Association , and has been honored repeatedly by the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, by cities around British Columbia and by the Urban Design Institute. Pat's landscape design for the GALLERIES is outstanding, with special emphasis on the privacy requirements of our Garden Patio Flats on the ground floor, and on the sloping elements of the overall site. GALLERIES is our second project
with DMG in the past twelve months and we're looking forward to working with DMG and Pat once again.
Myron Calof. President, TiGERi Properties Group
As for myself, I was born and raised in Winnipeg and began my career as a lawyer. In 1984 I became Executive Vice-President of Triple Five Corporation of Edmonton, developers and owners of such projects as West Edmonton Village, a 1200 unit multi building residential complex in Edmonton's west end, as well as West Edmonton Mall and the Mall of America, the two largest shopping centers in the world. I moved to Vancouver in 1994 and for over seven years served as Executive Vice -President of a large family owned real estate company, during which time I was involved in a number of projects the last of which was the development and construction of a 450 unit residential high rise in Montreal. In 2002 I formed TiGERi Properties Group which has since acquired and/or developed residential and commercial projects in both Alberta and BC.
Willow Springs - Website
Willow Springs Construction is GALLERIES general contractor. Willow Springs 17+ years of experience in the construction of residential strata and commercial projects make them ideally suitable for GALLERIES blend of residential condominiums and business studios. I've known the President of Willow Springs, Paul Christensen, for over 11 years, and have always been impressed by his honesty and dedication to quality.
